If you haven’t done it before, you might think that working with concrete is a pretty simple thing. Pour the concrete into some forms and leave it be and you are done. Not! Doing concrete well is truly an art. It starts with mixing it properly for the job at hand. Too thin and you will find yourself ripping out you work and starting over. Make it too thick and you will have a hard time getting your forms to fill in. If it’s a decorative piece, liked stamped concrete or some pavers, your timing and touch need to be just right to get the best results. Even if it’s just a slab, it takes a real craftsman to float it properly. If you are going to do a project with concrete, you will be smart to find someone experienced in using it.
