Sending Crafts to The Elderly
This year I was an arts and crafts teacher at a summer camp. One of the craft ideas that the directors had in mind was having the kids make pillows and distribute them to nursing homes. I did some research and I had the children learn about the types of pillows so that when they made theirs a little thought would go into them. We used foam and made a few travel neck pillow. The children added their little finishing touches. Some of the kids even tried to embroidery their pillows. The people at the nursing homes were so happy to receive the pillows from the children.
Hey, it must be a pretty fun year for you and a great thing you did to those people at the nursing home! Did you take any pictures or anything? I would love to see the different types of pillows the kids made.
That was great of you. Sending homemade pillows to the nursing home. Very classy in my opinion. I\’ll be appreciative aswell if they were made by your kids at the summer camp. There\’s nothing better than hand made pillows.
Wow, you must have a really busy summer. Did everyone have fun? Making pillows and such… boy, do I miss those days when I was a kid. When I was on summer camp, we just pretty much do alot of sport related activity.
