I am not very experienced in medical matters, and when my doctor told me that I would need to have lumbar surgery in order to deal with my back pain, I had no clue what it meant. I thought that the operation would be extremely complicated and that I might have to spend several months in bed after it, but I was surprised to learn that the operation is now fairly simple, and I was up and about after just a few weeks and I’m leading a more or less normal life. It just goes to show how far medical technology has advanced.
