What Is The Life Expectancy After Prostate Cancer?
Life expectancy after prostate cancer is greatly influenced by a vast combination of several factors. For instance, what stage has the malignant tumor reached, your age, medical treatment options available and medication prescribed the success rate of the treatments, other health issues and how early was the diagnosis made.
According to well known cancer societies and associations like the American Cancer Society, the life expectancy after prostate cancer of approximately 92% of males has been about 5 years. The treatment up to a large extent depends on how far the cancer has spread. Radical prostatectomy, radiation therapy or hormone treatment are some of the effective treatments.
