The electronic stock trading system, though less personal, is more efficient. It is faster and provides a higher level of service. It is preferred by large companies and by most individuals because your trades can be confirmed almost instantly. You can familiarize yourself online with the market you are interested in. The New York Stock Exchange prefers exchange floor, with a small amount of electronic exchange. Their rival, NASDAQ, is totally electronic.
