Occupational Therapy Training
The academic path that leads to the title “Fully certified occupational therapist” is long and a hard one to walk through. First step in occuaptional therapy training is to earn a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Occupational Therapy and since 2007, the new requirement is to have a Master’s degree and a license to practice. The license is obtained after passing the exam at NBCOT, which gives you the title - “Occupational Therapist Registered”. Of course, part of the preparation towards becoming an occupational therapist, requires having good marks at high school classes in social sciences, physics, biology, health, chemistry, and art. It’s also a good idea to volunteer as much as you can in different community programs.
