You will need to organize the information into units/sections/ modules with headings and subheadings in online courses. Additionally, you will have to identify points where the learners need to participate in activities that will allow you to check that they are progressing through the course and understand the content. When you write your materials make sure that what you say is absolutely clear. You will not be able to use any intonation, emphasis or gesture that will help your learners interpret what you say, so you must be confident that what you are writing is completely unambiguous.
