My daughter turned five last week.  We had to repaint her bedroom as the old paint was all worn out and all.  My husband and I also bought new stuffs to add in her room.  There were a lot we could buy but we had to prioritize what needs to be bought first.  We bought some learning tools as building blocks and numbers so she can learn while she play.  Along with this, we also found one of those fancy Fish clocks at the bazaare.  It was a bit vintage but was sure to add beauty to the newly painted room.

That’s a simple enough question you would think wouldn’t you?  It doesn’t matter if you are buying blackout curtains or pink curtains or some other type of strange color or shape, you are going to need to put them up in some way.  To be honest, I don’t really have a clue as to the best way to put them up, what I do know is that if you put them up incorrectly there is a strong chance that they will fall down.  This is something I learned the hard way.  I put some curtains up for my mother in law the other day.  This were in her dinning room and she had friends around for dinner the next day and guess what?  They fell to the ground just as people where tucking into their main course.  My mother in law was not pleased at all; however, I couldn’t help but to chuckle a little when I heard about it.

Every Christmas Eve, my sister-in-law holds a big dinner for family and friends. She often has over 100 people attend. Now she wants to get some Folding Chair Slipcovers as some of her chairs look pretty rough. I just can’t imagine having to spend this much on covers that are only used once or twice a year. She has more than enough money to buy 500 so that’s not the issue. I’m just the type who doesn’t like to store things like this. To each his own, I guess. If she is happy, I’m not going to say anything. I have to admit the chairs will look nicer.

We’re renovating our kitchen and I’m looking for some ideas for nice kitchen window treatments. Our kitchen window looks out over the back of our acreage, so privacy is not so much a concern as looks. The curtains that are there now are ok, but I’d like to get something a little more interesting. I just don’t know where to start. Does anyone have some creative ideas that might give me a little bit of a headstart on my search? Preferably something that is durable and will stand up to the heat coming through the window, as well as any potential spills or splashes that could happen in the kitchen.

I wanted to update the look of my home, and I decided that the best way to do it was to add new Shutters. After all, the shutters can give a house a bright and happy feeling, or can make a house seem darker and more foreboding. I wasn’t really sure where to start in looking for new shutters, so I did a quick search online. I quickly discovered that there were many types of shutters that are available. I couldn’t decide between interior faux wood shutters and exterior wooden shutters. I still can’t decide. I think that I need to do a little bit more searching.
