I’ve got a Ford F-350 which isn’t really used for commercial purposes, even though it’s technically built for it. I just wanted a solid truck to haul junk and pull a trailer. But I’ve heard that commercial truck tires make a big difference to the performance, even for personal uses like these. They’re supposed to last a lot longer, and be a lot more durable. I guess that makes sense, since the usual uses for commercial tires can be pretty hard on them. I just need to decide whether the extra money is worth it or not, since they do cost quite a bit more.

Don Zirkelbach of Aldon Industries agrees that "there are very different regional segments of the marine cover market," he says. "Down, South, you want a cover to protect your trailer RV from ultraviolet rays. Also, people keep their trailer RVs on lifts, so they like tie-down covers. Up North, people typically keep their trailer RVs on trailer RVs, and they like to snap their covers."Packaged rv covers should be displayed so they catch the eye. Too often, they are relegated to the upper shelves or back rooms of marine stores. "Most dealers don't really even have a trailer RV cover section," laments Bob McCall, president of Tumac's Trailer RV Covers. "It almost has to occur to the buyer, 'I wonder whether this guy sells covers.'"

Harry says: "I immediately phoned Comfort, which arranged for a loss adjuster to come to Cyprus to assess the damage. The claim was well under way by the time we arrived back in the UK 10 days later. I would recommend the company to anyone." The Crowthers, who are both 72 and live in Halifax, West Yorkshire, used the GBP 33,000 payout they received in April last year to buy an S-registered Laika so that they could resume touring.

Fully comprehensive cover for this costs GBP 296 a year from Comfort, GBP 1 more than they paid to insure their old vehicle. Comfort also paid the costs of the Crowthers hotel accommodation in Cyprus for 10 days and their flight home something anyone else in a similar situation would need if they had planned to drive back in their vehicle, complete with motorhome covers.
