Prince2 project management training is very useful in educating oneself in the PRINCE2 project management approach, methodology and language. PRINCE2 has many supporters, but also a fair number of nay-sayers. Critics complain that method is too theory-driven and that it does not do an adequate job of anticipating the effects of subtle human interaction. Those who love it find it complete and to the point.  In any event, the project management approach is used primarily in Western European countries and in Australia. It was developed by the British government for use in large scale information technology projects in the late 1980s. It has since gone through a series of evolutions.
