How to Achieve a Harassment Free Workplace Environment

In order to have an environment which is free of workplace harassment steps must be taken.  Discipline for such actions must be developed.  A policy must be devised and made known to all employees.  This is accomplished through orientation and training classes as well as literature on the subject.  The rules must be followed so employees must be made aware of what disciplinary action will be taken for committing workplace harassment.  Make the employees aware of how grievances are to be filed and heard.  The responsibility to see that the complaints of workplace harassment are followed through on falls into the hand of an officer of the EEOC with guidance and supervision from the Personnel Director of the company.  The secretary is also involved.
