Is a Trademark A Patent?
This is a resounding No! A Trademark simply identifies where a certain product came from and who created it.
A Trademark is simply a word, phrase, character or combination of these that is an identifying mark. Craftspeople tend to use Trademarks more than intellectual property consultant Patents to mark their creations. Most artists have their own little symbols that they use to mark their work. I was watching TV yesterday and saw a well-known Artist who Signs his paintings with “Max”, which is his last name. This is a Trademark.
A Patent supposedly does the same thing; but definitely is not the same as a Trademark.
